Francis v. Shol - Pierce County - Personal Injury case, jury trial resulting in minimal special damages and $86.00 of general damages. Plaintiff appealed the jury's award amount, requesting an additur or a new trial. On appeal the jury's award was affirmed.

Nunnery v. Araujo - Snohomish County - Personal Injury case. Dismissal with prejudice upon motion for improper services.

Kassebaum v. Calliham - King County - Personal Injury case. Negotiation after an MAR award of $43,000.00 down to $25,000.00 the day before the De Novo trial.

Escobar-Ortiz v. Bays - Snohomish County - Personal Injury case, jury trial resulting in a much lower award than previous MAR award.

Hagen v. Hosselton, Helliwell - King County - Automobile accident - Both plaintiff and co-defendant appealed the MAR award.

Stroy v. Flowers - King County - Personal Injury - Defense verdict in arbitration.

Tjemsland v. Houston - King County - Automobile accident involving two plaintiffs with serious injuries. Allstate, as intervenor, settled at mediation for $10,000.00 of PIP coverage.

Foshee v. McCann - King County - Neighbor disputes suit. Case dismissed upon summary judgment. The dismissal was affirmed on plaintiff's motion for reconsideration.

Schramm v. Bailey - King County - Real Estate transaction suit - Jury trial resulted in an award of $26,000.00, much less than plaintiff's demand of $98,000.00 a few days before trial.

Finding: Respondent prevailed on an action of domestic disputes against her and obtained a No Contact Order against Petitioner.

Dissolution Finding: Respondent prevailed regarding spousal maintenance and Petitioner was ordered to pay for Respondent's attorney fees and costs.
Immigration Finding: Attorney Angelique Wiegand filed an appeal on behalf of Respondent, who was forced to leave the US; appeal was successful and Respondent was granted permission to return to the States and permanent resident status under VAWA.

Felonies

State v. Jimmy Millier, Robbery in the 1st degree, Case #13-1-12358-1-SEA
Mr. Miller was charged and found guilty of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, in violation of 18USC §922(g). The Federal prosecutor forwarded to the State the same incident and suggested that the State charged Mr. Miller with Robbery 1st degree. There was no double jeopardy attached to the same incident because the Federal and State Courts charged Mr. Miller different charges even though this was one incident.
Finding: State's case was dismissed after research, investigation, and extensive negotiation.

State v. Marquell Brown, Assault in the 1st degree and Robbery in the 1st degree with firearm enhancement — 3rd strike case, Case #13-1-14324-7-SEA
After extensive investigation, research, negotiation, including negotiation and arrange meeting of Mr. Brown's family with the chief criminal deputy, Mark Larson, State agreed to lower charges to non-strike offenses for a sentence of 15 years, with a third off for earned good times.

State v. Ramos, Assault in the 1st degree (2 counts) and Robbert in the 1st degree (2 counts), Case #14-1-00026-6-SEA
At Omnibus hearing, State amended upward and offered "plead as charged." Mr. Ramos was looking at 27 years (324 months) in prison, plus weapon enhancements.
Finding: After 6 weeks of trial, the jury found Mr. Ramos guilty on all counts, but Ms. Wiegand argued that the counts merged; according to the SRA. The Court agreed that the counts merged, Mr. Ramos was then sentenced to 160 months (124 months, plus 36 months for the weapon enhancement).

State v. Kais, with 2 other co-defendants, including Assault in the 2nd degree and unlawful discharge of a firearm, Case #11-C-08001-0-SEA
Serving in the military, Mr. Kais is stationed at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Washington. Initially, the State offered Mr. Kais to plead to a misdemeanor. Mr. Kais declined the offer. The State then offered a deferred sentence misdemeanor. Mr. Kais again declined the offer.
Finding: At trial, Ms. Wiegand was successful in getting Mr. Kais's case severed from the other co-defendants. The State granted Ms. Wiegand's motion to dismiss Mr. Kais's case with prejudice. The confiscated firearm was returned to Mr. Kais.

Le Nhu Le, State and Federal Charges, including Murder in the 1st Degree and Conspiracy to Commit Professional Gambling in the 1st Degree, Case #09-C-06804-2-SEA
Trial in court of the Honorable Judge Julie Spector
Finding: After extensive research and negotiation by Ms. Wiegand, the State and Federal prosecutor offered Mr. Le an agreed sentence of 60 months to run concurrent in both State and Federal Courts for a plea to one count of Conspiracy to Leading Organized Crime, a class B felony; other co-defendants pled to Murder in the 2nd Degree with Firearm enhancement and are each facing over 23 years in prison.

Emelio M. Valavala, Robbery in the 1st degree, Case #11-C-00352-0-SEA
Trial in court of the Honorable Judge Michael Heavey
Finding: After one and a half weeks of trial and following the State rest, Ms. Wiegand moved for a motion to dismiss Mr. Valavala's case with prejudice. Trial Court granted Ms. Wiegand's motion.

Daniel Lee Weaver, 2 counts of Robbery in the 1st Degree, Case #10-C-10026-8-SEA
Finding: Co-defendant pled to 2 counts of Attempted Robbery in the Second Degree (strike offense), implicating Mr. Weaver. Mr. Weaver set the case for trial and after extensive negotiation was offered to plead to one count of Theft 1, no jail time.

Roman Gabriel Benninghoven, Burglary in the 1st degree, Case #09-C-05164-6-SEA
Finding: Dismissed at Omnibus Hearing after extensive investigation and negotiation; the other three co-defendants pled guilty to various charges

Skye Marie June, Rendering criminal assistance to murder, Case #08-C-05430-2-SEA
Finding: Case was dismissed after extensive negotiation; the other four co-defendants pled guilty as charged

Brenda Douglas, Residential burglary and domestic violence, Case #08-1-13138-2-KNT
Finding: Defense moved for a mistrial due to Juror misconduct; Court granted mistrial and State offered misdemeanor charge
